Riba Thomas

Riba obtained a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Lancashire in 2014. She then completed her Masters in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences Research from King’s College London in 2015.  She spent a couple of years working in the pharmaceutical industry as a Quality Analyst before returning to academia in 2018. She joined the Manchester Fungal Infection Group at the University of Manchester as a Research Technician where she was involved in researching the metabolic pathways in fungi and investigating the interactions between fungi and bacteria. She then moved on to the Papalopulu Lab in 2019 as a Research Technician where she assisted the PhD students and post-doctoral candidates in developmental research. 

Riba joined the Wong Lab in 2021 and is keen on researching the developmental timeline of microglia during early postnatal development.
